Lizette was lucky enough to be in an awesome little preschool co-op group this year. She was a little shy of the age cutoff, but they let her in anyway and it seemed to work out great.
I was anxious for her to go mostly for the opportunity to socialize with other kids. She is a shy little thing and being around other kids on a regular basis has really seemed to boost her confidence and help her to get more comfortable. The other little kiddos in the group were great for her to be around.
After a year of preschool she knows all of her colors, letters and numbers 1-10 by sight. She can sound out most of the letters (some of the tricky ones like Q throw her off once in a while). She can count to 20 with no problem and most of the time can go on to 30 and even 40 if she's on a roll. She can write her name. She can say the pledge of allegiance. And, she knows her days of the week and months of the year thanks to some cute songs she learned. She also learned to cut with ease and can manage a glue stick like a pro!
We are proud of our girl and love her so much! Way to go Lizette!!!
